Why preserve the Legacy of Gospel Music

​Gospel Music is not just music that sounds good....it's music with a life-changing Message, a message that reaches beyond your ears, deep into your soul, encouraging you to hold on, keep going, and be thankful in the process. Gospel Music has touched the hearts of listeners for decades, and as its sound and composition continues to evolve, we should ensure that a new generation of Gospel Music lovers know how deep this genre's roots go, how significant a part of the American experience it is and has been, and the roads many artists traveled to bring Gospel Music into fruition.

Your generous donation to the CGMHM will assist us in preserving this legacy by further development of our library and archives. It will also assist us in offering educational programs, and securing a facility large enough to house the museum's exhibits, collections and memorabilia, and with an area to host performances & events, as well as an on-campus store where a wide array of music recordings and souvenirs can be obtained by the Museum's visitors.
